On October 1st 2006 Easington Primary Care Trust became part of County Durham Primary Care Trust. As part of a re configuration as well as Easington PCT, Sedgefield PCT, Durham Dales PCT, Durham and Chester-le Street PCT and Derwentside PCT also became part of County Durham PCT.
