From Friday October 1st 2004 the Out of Hours Service is run by the Easington locality of County Durham Primary Care Trust. It is based at Peterlee Community Hospital and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including Bank Holidays. From December 2007 the William Brown Centre has re-instated Saturday morning surgeries and has evening surgeries on each weekday, doctors’ leave permitting.

PHARMACY

There are two local pharmacies open during weekday evenings and weekends. Bank Holidays opening times will be different and are usually announced in the local papers including Peterlee Star

Asda Peterlee Pharmacy is open Monday 8am until 11pm, Tuesday to Friday 7am to 11pm, Saturdays 7am to 10pm and Sundays 10am to 4pm

IntraHealth Pharmacy at William Brown Centre is open from 7am to 10:30pm Monday to Saturday 9am to 4pm on Sundays
