We can help you increase your chances of living a longer healthier life by helping you to stop smoking and you can do this by joining our “stop smoking programme”.
The clinics are run by trained smoking cessation advisors, on a one to one basis, the courses are run over a 12 week programme.
Stop smoking clinics: what to expect
- Advice on what Nicotine Replacement Therapy (N.R.T.) products are available and what products would best suit your smoking requirements over the course of 12 weeks
- Coping strategies
- Carbon monoxide readings
- Recording of your current smoking level
- Discussion on agreeing a quit date
- Complete a smoking questionnaire with the smoking cessation advisor
- Motivation
- Readiness to change
The first appointment will last 30 minutes, thereafter the smoking cessation advisor will arrange further appointments.
You will be weaned off cigarettes gradually with support. Evidence shows that with this kind of intensive support, combination of NRT or Zyban you can increase long term quit rates by between 13 - 19%.
